Our Company

Curt’s Caterers was founded in 1984 by Curt and Joanne Chesley. Curt was graduated from Johnson and Wales University in 1978. He was head chef of the Hathaway House in Laconia, the Curtis House in Ashland, and Mountain Air Restaurants before establishing Curt’s Caterers with his wife. Curt and Joanne have over 60 years of combined culinary experience. Joanne works closely with clients to ensure that every facet of the event is carefully planned out. She provides a great deal of insight to each client as to how to go about creating the best possible party.

Curt and Joanne take pride in ensuring the highest quality food, staff, and service for every event.  Curt’s Caterers is a family business. Curt and Joanne’s nephew, Steven Cote, is the head chef. His passion for food is evident in the unique dishes he creates to meet a wide range of palates. 

Curt and Joanne’s three daughters are also deeply involved in the business. Julia works along side Joanne with our clients. She takes care of the front of the house arrangements both in the office and at events. Megan is the head baker for Curt’s Caterers. She enjoys creating delicious and decadent desserts. Megan and Julia are event coordinators, skilled at making certain that a party runs smoothly. Amy, Curt and Joanne’s youngest daughter, works closely with Steven and Curt, learning “tricks of the trade” and family recipes. Her attention to detail in the kitchen is unparalleled.

Along with the help of our dedicated and professional staff, whom we like to view as an extension of the family, Curt’s Caterers will do whatever we can to ensure that your event is everything you want it to be.  We specialize in off-premise catering, traveling to homes, businesses, and function halls throughout the state of New Hampshire.
